ACR’s $6 Million Venom just one part of a record-setting year
What a record year it’s been at Americas Cardroom! The $6 Million Venom has just wrapped and for the second time this year, a new millionaire was crowned in their once-again largest poker tournament ever.
The tournament wrapped on December 11th in spectacular fashion, with player: galodoido13 winning the first-place prize of $1,039,982. Here’s a look at the important numbers:
• Total prize money guaranteed: $6 million
• Final prize pool: $6,740,000
• Total entries: 2,696
• 1st place prize guaranteed: $1 Million
The $6 Million Venom was a multi-day tournament that began on November 27th and concluded on December 11th. Players had an option of four separate Day 1’s to play in (November 27th and December 1st, 4th and 8th).
It was the second Venom of the year, with the first $5 Million version taking place this past summer. Due to its incredible success, Americas Cardroom decided to hold the second Venom just four months later.
And because of the success, Americas Cardroom has announced that the next Venom will get underway 6 months from now (June 2020). And it will become a permanent fixture at Americas Cardroom, running every 6 months so players always have a big tournament to look forward to.
